The XLIII World Congress of poets is a poetic celebration of diversity and inclusion which fosters a sense of community and connection among poets from diverse backgrounds. In the realm of poetry, the rhythms of harmony resonate deeply, weaving together the threads of human experience, emotion and identity. The "Rhythms of Harmony" is a unique gathering of wordsmiths, spoken word artists, and poetry enthusiasts, coming together to celebrate the power of poetry in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. It’s my pleasure to invite you to meet outstanding peers during this 5 day trip, exchange thoughts in literary occasions which can inspire more magnificent pieces, and enjoy the cultural feast full of understanding, love and unity.

President,
XLIII World Congress of Poets
INTRODUCTION
XLIII World Congress of Poets on the theme “Rhythms of Harmony” will be held from the 20th to 25th of November in 2024 at Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Madurai is a city known for its rich poetic tradition. It is a place where the Sangam Literature-an extraordinary body of work that delves into the timeless themes of love, war, governance, commerce, and mourning, enriching the tapestry of Tamil literature and culture flourished. It is both befitting and a privilege to convene the XLIII World Congress of Poets in such a hallowed place, where the echoes of ancient verses will harmonize with the contemporary voices of poets from across the globe.
During the 5-day trip, venues of the congress are set across Madurai. You can immerse yourself in beautiful recitation while enjoying the Dravidian style of architecture of the Meenakshi Amman Temple. Other attractions in Madurai include Gandhi Museum, which echoes the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, and Thirumalai Naicker Mahal, a palace built in 1635 by King Thirumalai Naicker. Poets can enjoy reading poetry while visiting Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's Memorial, Rameswaram, and Thanuskodi village.
We sincerely invite you to join the XLIII World Congress of Poets. With your participation, we believe that the blossom of liberal art will bloom with passion, talent and unlimited vitality.
